Overview

Outlook supports custom SMTP servers for non-Microsoft accounts. By pointing Outlook to Badex's SMTP server, every email you send gets your professional signature injected and DKIM signed automatically.

Setup in Outlook for Windows

Step 1 — Open Account Settings

In Outlook, click FileAccount SettingsAccount Settings. Select your email account and click Change.

Step 2 — Open More Settings

In the account wizard, click More Settings... → go to the Outgoing Server tab.

Step 3 — Configure SMTP Authentication

Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication → select Log on using and enter:

Username: your-email@yourdomain.com
Password: your Badex SMTP password

Step 4 — Set SMTP Server and Port

Go to the Advanced tab. Under Outgoing server (SMTP):

Outgoing server: smtp.signature.badex.app
Port: 587

Click OKNextFinish.

Setup in Outlook for Mac

Step 1 — Open Preferences

In Outlook for Mac, click Outlook menu → PreferencesAccounts.

Step 2 — Edit Account

Select your account → click Advanced → go to Outgoing server tab.

Step 3 — Configure SMTP

Uncheck Use default server and enter:

SMTP Server: smtp.signature.badex.app
Port: 587
Use SSL: STARTTLS
Username: your-email@yourdomain.com
Password: your Badex SMTP password
Done!

Every email from Outlook now has your professional signature automatically. Disable Outlook's built-in signature to avoid duplicates.

Troubleshooting

❓ Signature appears twice
Go to Outlook Insert → Signature and remove any existing signatures. Let Badex handle it server-side.
❓ Cannot send — authentication error
Verify the SMTP username is your full email and password is your Badex SMTP password, not your email account password.
❓ Port 587 blocked
Try adding a Windows Firewall exception for Outlook on port 587, or contact your IT department.
