A CodeTwo alternative for mail that isn't all Microsoft

CodeTwo is a well-built product with deep Microsoft integration. Its boundary is also its design: it is a Microsoft tool, for Microsoft 365 and Exchange. The moment part of your mail lives somewhere else, you need a second product — or one that covers both.

The mixed-environment problem ↓
The real scenario

Almost nobody is 100% Microsoft forever

The group buys a company that runs its mail on cPanel. A subsidiary in another country was set up on Plesk years ago and nobody wants to touch it. The holding company has three mailboxes on a hosting plan. Marketing still sends from a separate domain through a webmail client.

A Microsoft-only signature tool handles the headquarters beautifully and leaves every one of those outside the policy. That is how you end up with a branding standard that covers 70% of your outbound mail and a spreadsheet tracking the rest.

One relay instead of four integrations

We do not write a plugin per control panel. You set smtp.signature.badex.app as the outgoing relay — something every mail platform has been able to do for twenty years — and the signature is injected in transit, DKIM signed for your own domain. The headquarters can keep its Microsoft 365 sync while the acquired company's cPanel server points at the same relay, under the same signature policy. One standard, every domain.

The money

Count every mailbox, not just the Microsoft ones

We will not quote someone else's list price at you — prices change and we would get it wrong. Take the per-mailbox figure from your own invoice, type it in, and the arithmetic is yours.

Badex figures are our published list prices for the Microsoft 365 plans. The per-mailbox figure is the one you typed — we do not know your vendor's current price, their minimum, or your discount. This is arithmetic, not a quote.

THE HONEST PART

When CodeTwo is the better choice

  • You are entirely on Microsoft and intend to stay there. If every mailbox you will ever manage is in Microsoft 365 or Exchange, you are buying a specialist tool for your exact stack. That is a good reason to buy it.
  • You need signatures visible in the Outlook compose window. Client-side add-ins show the signature as the user types. We inject server-side — applied reliably on every device, including phones, but not previewed in the client.
  • You need Exchange transport-rule-level control on premises. Their roots are in Exchange rules and it shows.
  • You want a bigger company on the contract. We are small. For some procurement departments that is the end of the conversation, and we would rather you know in week one.

We do not import CodeTwo templates. You would rebuild them in our visual editor — usually one or two templates and an afternoon.

Start with the domain nobody could cover

Pick the awkward one — the acquired company on cPanel, the subsidiary on Plesk — and put it under policy in 14 days. No credit card. Your Microsoft side keeps running exactly as it does now.
