Where does your mail actually live?
This one answer decides whether there is even a comparison to make. Centralised signature management grew up around Exchange and Microsoft 365. If your mail sits on a hosting control panel, most of the category simply cannot reach it.
| Your mail platform | Badex Signature | Exclaimer |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 | Yes — Graph API sync | Yes |
| Google Workspace | Yes — via SMTP relay | Yes |
| Exchange on-premises | Yes — via SMTP relay | Yes |
| cPanel / WHM | Yes — via SMTP relay | Not a supported platform |
| Plesk | Yes — via SMTP relay | Not a supported platform |
| DirectAdmin | Yes — via SMTP relay | Not a supported platform |
| Roundcube | Yes — via SMTP relay | Not a supported platform |
| Any other SMTP server | Yes — point your relay at us | Not a supported platform |
Platform coverage as published by each vendor. Vendors change what they support — check Exclaimer's current platform list before you decide, and check ours in the documentation.
How we reach platforms nobody else does
There is no per-panel plugin to install and nothing clever going on. You set smtp.signature.badex.app as the outgoing relay — something cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, Roundcube and plain Postfix have all been able to do for twenty years — and the signature is injected on the way through, DKIM signed for your own domain. One relay, one setting, every platform. That is the whole trick, and it is why the panel you run does not matter to us.
Put in your own numbers
We are not going to quote someone else's price at you — list prices change and we would get it wrong. Take the per-user figure from your own invoice or quote, type it in, and the arithmetic is yours.
Badex figures are our published list prices for the Microsoft 365 plans. The per-user figure is the one you typed — we do not know your vendor's current price, their seat minimum, or your discount. This is arithmetic, not a quote.
What a flat fee works out to per person
The point of a flat fee is that hiring does not change the invoice. The bigger you get, the less each person costs you.
| Plan | Flat price | Mailboxes included | Effective cost per mailbox |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | €21 / mo | up to 25 | €0.84 |
| Pro | €54 / mo | up to 100 | €0.54 |
| Business | €108 / mo | up to 500 | €0.22 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | — |
Effective cost shown at the top of each plan's mailbox range. Below the cap it is higher. Full pricing and limits. If your mail is not on Microsoft 365, the SMTP plans start at €7/month.
When Exclaimer is the better choice
- You are a small team on Microsoft 365 and nothing else. At ten or fifteen mailboxes, a per-user price with a low minimum can genuinely come out cheaper than any flat fee. Run the calculator above; if their number is smaller, theirs is smaller.
- You need a client-side Outlook add-in. If your people must see and edit the signature inside Outlook as they compose, that is a different architecture from server-side injection. We inject on the way out — the signature is applied reliably, but it is not sitting in the compose window.
- You need a large vendor on the paperwork. Procurement at a 5,000-person company has requirements a small Belgian vendor will not tick this year. We would rather tell you now.
- You already have deep integrations built. We do not import their templates or campaign history. You would rebuild your templates in our editor.
We lose some deals on these four points. We would rather lose them in week one than in month three.
